About the Company

Our client is a globally recognized provider of safety solutions, products, and services within the maritime industry. Their equipment supports safety on a wide range of vessels — from cruise ships and container carriers to offshore platforms, ferries, fishing boats, and luxury yachts. Safety is not just a focus — it is at the very core of their operations.

Their Global Finance Department includes over 80 finance professionals based in Denmark and Bulgaria, with SAP as the primary ERP system. Due to ongoing expansion, they are seeking a dedicated Accountant to strengthen their Global Business Services (GBS), Finance team in Plovdiv.

The Role

As an Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and play a vital role in managing vendor-related accounting transactions for the company's entities worldwide. You will be working both independently and closely with other teams and departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process all vendor invoices and travel expenses for a company subsidiary
  • Monitor and ensure timely invoice approvals per internal policies
  • Execute mass vendor payments in accordance with internal procedures
  • Communicate and resolve invoice disputes
  • Perform various reconciliations, including cash, intercompany, VAT, fixed assets, and general ledger accounts
  • Investigate and resolve non-billed orders in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
  • Participate in interim and annual audits

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 1 year of professional experience in accounting and a desire to grow your expertise in a global setting.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Advanced user of MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Experience with SAP is a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and organized with a proactive “can-do” mindset
  • Strong team player and open to continuous learning
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
