TRAINING AS A BOAT BUILDER – NEW CONSTRUCTION, EXTENSION AND RENOVATION [M/F/D]

We are looking for new recruits for our yacht service and shipyard crew.

Are you motivated, a real team player and would you like to learn a skilled trade? We are offering you a training position from August 01.08.2022st, XNUMX for training as a boat builder - new construction, extension and conversion.

The water holiday world on Rügen includes holiday homes on the water and on land, restaurants, wellness, sailing school, port operations and our own boatyard. Although new boats are rarely built in our shipyard, motor and sailing boats are built all year round: "Refit" includes all trades from yacht electrics and electronics to rigging. The boats are made winter-proof for the winter and launched and rigged again in the spring. With a team of 16 employees, you will find the right contact person for every concern:

  • Boat building (inside and outside)
  • Yacht electrics
  • Yacht electronics
  • Yacht equipment
  • Rigging work

With our two mobile workshop vehicles, we travel all over the island of Rügen as a repair service. Our water sports center offers motorboats, sailing boats, catamarans, surfboards and SUPs for chartering and training. Our own boat fleet is also serviced annually by our yacht service team.

What can you expect from your training?

Boat builders specializing in new construction, extension and conversion build paddle and rowing boats, sailing boats, motor and sailing yachts, as well as smaller fishing boats, barges and other commercial vehicles for inland and maritime shipping. They construct components such as the hull or deck and assemble these to form the boat body. For larger boats, they also manufacture the superstructure, take care of the interior fittings and make the masts and spars. Their materials are not only wood, but also steel, aluminum and fiber-reinforced plastics. In addition to building new boats, they carry out repair and conversion work. In order to protect the deck and superstructure, but especially the hull, from damage caused by water and the effects of the weather, they paint the surfaces, for example. They treat the underwater area of the watercraft with special coating materials. After a thorough inspection, they repair any existing structural or material damage to the hull and superstructure.
