For our client, a Spanish manufacturer of luxury catamarans, we are currently recruiting for the position of

Naval Engineer

 

Responsibilities:

  • Medium-term and short-term production planning.
  • Monitoring of production tasks.
  • Keeping and adjusting plans in electronic form. (MS Project or similar).
  • Preparation of drawings, sketches, data sheets, lists and other documentation for production.
  • Monitoring the necessary amount of materials and equipment in the warehouse at the next stages of production.
  • Preparation of applications for the purchase plan of equipment and materials for continuous production.
  • Research of material/equipment
  • Selection of the proper material/equipment
  • Receiving feedback on materials, production processes.
  • Quality control of production stages according to internal standards and IMCI standards.
  • Selection of analogues of nodes, aggregates, equipment, etc. Accordingly, correction of models, drawings, documentation.
  • Direct participation in responsible production operations.
  • Communication with the project manager on all technical issues.
  • Preparation of regular reports and analysis for a certain previous period.
  • Timely signaling to management and finding a way out of out-of-state and emergency situations.
  • Suggestions for optimization of production processes without loss of quality.
  • Ability to design details for assembly, construction, equipment installation, workshop drawings.
  • Ability to design additional accessories for production processes and routines.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a similar position
  • Technical university degree - nice to have in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
  • Knowledge of production processes in yachting industry
  • Knowledge of the purpose of all units used in the project, as well as the principles and conditions of their operation
  • Understanding the physics of processes and maritime knowledge
  • Desire to improve the level of knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Fluent level of the English language
  • Knowledge of Rhino and Autocad software - nice to have knowledge of other CAD software
  • Readiness to work in Spain
