We operate a fleet of 30+ sailing yachts for term charter ranging from 45 to 80 ft in length. We have immediate openings for Yacht Fleet Maintenance Technicians with boat/yacht service experience.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the company's fleet of yachts under the direction and supervision of the Maintenance Services Manager.  This includes working with a small team of technicians being part of a team to coordinate with crew and suppliers, and ensuring that all yachts are in excellent condition and ready for use for charter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical maintenance of yachts, including specialty services on engines, generators, air conditioners, rigging, water makers, and other ad hoc yacht maintenance

  • Coordinate with maintenance support staff for scheduling, parts ordering, job information capturing, and maintenance technician time tracking.

  • Ensure that all yachts are in excellent condition and ready for use for charter.

  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including tracking costs and identifying areas for cost savings.

  • On-the-job training.

  • Coordination with Maintenance Leads.

  • Monitor maintenance communication groups with crews and owners.

  • Coordinate all receipts for purchasing parts to ensure proper tracking.




Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Formal maintenance qualification or training preferred (this could include marine or other maintenance training)
  • 1-3 years of experience in maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of yacht systems and components, including engines, electrical systems, and plumbing (preferred but not required)
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Experience working in the US Virgin Islands and knowledge of local regulations an asset.
